- High-Definition Print (HDP) technology
yields unprecedented 200-line-per-inch vertical and horizontal
resolution with pixel-width as small as .0025". The result is 400 x 400
dpi prints that look superior to conventional 600-dpi output, with
greater legibility even in fine details and smoother, more accurate
grayscale images.
Outputs 4 "D" size prints per minute; 2.0" per second.
Supports a wide range of media types including 16 - 20 lb. bond paper, 3
mil. film and 16 - 20 lb. Vellum.
Direct-Contact Toner creates direct-fill areas with rich, vibrant
blacks. Toner on paper is undetectable to the touch, resulting in 100%
toner efficiency for more cost-effective and environmentally friendly
operation with no messy toner bottles to dispose of.
The Starprint 2000 Series' modular design upgrades from a basic one-roll
to a two-roll or three-roll system.
Kip Powerprint embedded controller runs on a Windows NT network.
Supports a range of file formats including: HPGL 1/2, HP-RTL, Calcomp
906/607, CALS Group 4, TIFF Group 4, PCX, Intergraph CIT/TG4, Versatec
Color Graphics (VCGL), Uncompressed Grayscale TIFF, TIFF Packbits, IBM
IOCA, EDMICS, TLC (KIP), PNG, and JPEG. Optional file formats include:
ATA Compliant CGM, Postscript 3 for EPS, PS, and PDF.
The Starprint 2000 warms-up in less than 8 minutes from startup and
instantly from standby.
